OKLAHOMA CITY – Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has named Colisha Lewis vice president of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the first in the credit union’s history. Her new responsibilities include accelerating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) as a priority within the credit union while providing counsel on maintaining consistency and regulatory DE&I compliance in operations and practices throughout the credit union.
Additionally, Lewis will work to redefine and advance the DE&I efforts of the credit union through training and development opportunities for colleagues, along with analyzing recruitment, retention and compensation procedures.
Before Lewis began her career with TFCU in 2017, she held various human resources positions with companies like Sonic, St. Anthony Hospital and Tulsa Community College. Prior to being named vice president of DE&I, Lewis served as assistant vice president and manager of human resources at TFCU for two years.
Lewis earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Langston University and currently holds a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification. She is currently earning a DE&I certification through Cornell University while also pursuing a Master of Human Resources Management at Mid-America Christian University.
“Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is the foundation for fostering an equitable workplace culture where every employee feels valued and supported,” said TFCU President/CEO Michael D. Kloiber. “With that, we are committed to integrating DE&I into all aspects of the credit union and are eager to see our efforts in action.”
“I am delighted to step into my new role, and I am excited about the journey to provide a renewed sense of focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advancement within the credit union,” said Colisha Lewis. “We understand that knowledge and compassion are critical to this journey, so we will do more than hear our employees. We will act.”
TFCU is the largest credit union in Oklahoma, with $5 billion in assets and over 413,000 members.
