2025 Teachers + TFCU Official Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE OR IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. ELIGIBILITY: The Tinker Federal Credit Union 2025 Teachers + TFCU sweepstakes is open to all Oklahoma teachers who teach students in grades 7 through 12. Must be (a) at least eighteen (18) years of age, (b) a current teacher at an Oklahoma school, teaching students in grades K through 12, (c) a permanent legal resident of one of the fifty (50) states of the United States of America or of the District of Columbia (collectively the “U.S.”) or an ITIN holder; (d) has a legal and valid street address (no post office boxes) within the U.S., (e) holds a current and valid U.S. and/or state government issued photo identification.

Entrants are responsible for assuring their residency status complies with U.S. federal, state, and local laws regarding the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is void outside the eligible sweepstakes territory and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, volunteers, agents and directors of TFCU and Braid Creative & Consulting, LLC and all of their immediate families (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings, grandparents and their respective spouses) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of each such person are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes. Eligible persons may enter the Sweepstakes, subject to all of the requirements of these 2025 Teachers + TFCU Sweepstakes Official Rules (“Official Rules”).

2. TIMING: The Sweepstakes entry period begins at 12:00 a.m. (Central Time) January 15, 2025 and ends at 11:45 p.m. (Central Time) on January 31, 2025 (“Sweepstakes Period”). The potential winners will be chosen at random on February 3, 2025. Three (3) eligible winners will be chosen for three separate prizes of $2,000 each per eligible winner. The eligible winner must meet the requirements of these Official Rules and will receive their prize in the form of a check. The eligible winners will be notified via a Facebook direct message within two (2) business days of February 3, 2024. After being contacted by a TFCU representative, the potential winners must reply within three (3) calendar days of the initial contact from TFCU to claim their respective prize and provide TFCU with applicable consent information, account information, completed forms and instructions for receipt of their prize.

3. HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is required to enter the Sweepstakes. The entrant must meet the requirements in these Official Rules. TFCU will be hosting the Sweepstakes on its official Facebook page. Individuals will nominate teachers by tagging another social media user. Each comment with a tagged Facebook user will count as one entry. Participants may only comment one time. By doing this, the participant is nominating the tagged person to be a winner. Winner(s) will be randomly selected via Tinker Federal Credit Union’s randomized drawing system.

To be eligible to win, an applicant must be Oklahoma-certified teacher in 2024 teaching grades K through 12 at the time of selection. Additionally, winners must provide proof of employment at an Oklahoma school.

4. PRIZES AVAILABLE: Number of winners: Three (3) Teachers + TFCU Description of prize: Winners shall receive $2,000 deposited into their TFCU account. The winners will be drawn at the end of the registration period from all submitted (valid) entries.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON ENTERING: No alternative prize, cash or other substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor in the event of prize unavailability. All federal, state, provincial and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Subsequent entries determined to be submitted in violation of this rule will be declared ineligible. As the administrator of this contest, TFCU has the power to remove subsequent entries if they are in violation of this rule. You may be asked to verify your information from any entry you submit. TFCU may prohibit an entrant from participating in the drawing or winning of prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the drawing by cheating, hacking, deception or other practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or TFCU entities.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TFCU, its divisions, affiliates, partners, agents, representatives, employees, officers, directors, and sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, postage due, misdirected entries, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions, or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical, or electronic or for any damage to any person or person’s property related to participating in the Sweepstakes. Persons found tampering with, abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes or entries or violating these Official Rules, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and for any such attempt, TFCU, its affiliates, sponsors, and partners reserve the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person(s) responsible for the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a potential winner or entry based on an automatic entry, the winning entry will be declared made by the member who is the primary share account holder, as determined solely by TFCU’s records. In no event will TFCU or any of its divisions, affiliates, employees, contractors, sponsors, agents, representatives, and partners be responsible or liable for any damages, claims, or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of any participating or entry in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.  Any disputes arising out of the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules will be governed in accordance with applicable federal laws and the laws of the state of Oklahoma. Any disputes will be settled in the district, jurisdiction, and venue of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma County. All entrants waive their right to a jury trial and additionally waive any right to form and/or bring a class action in relation to this Sweepstakes to the extent not prohibited by U.S. Federal or Oklahoma law. Entrants and participants in the Sweepstakes (eligible or ineligible entrants and participants), shall not be entitled to claim, request, or receive any consequential, punitive, indirect, direct, special, incidental, or other damages for any reason. In the event of any damages awarded, such shall be strictly limited to direct and actual out-of-pocket expenses and costs, regardless of cause or reason. These limitations are void where prohibited. TFCU and its divisions, affiliates, partners, sponsors, representatives, and agents expressly disclaim any and all liability, indirect or direct, regarding the entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to any chances of winning, and do not make any warranties of any kind as part of the Sweepstakes. Each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless TFCU and any of its affiliates, sponsors, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, representatives, agents, and partners from and against any and all liability, claims, causes of action, losses, injury, demands, or damages (regardless of action, cause, or participation) resulting from the entrant’s actions, inactions, or participation in the Sweepstakes. 

7. GENERAL: Three (3) winners will be randomly drawn and notified by Facebook direct message on or after February 3, 2025. If TFCU does not receive a reply from the winner within three (3) calendar days of the initial notification, TFCU reserves the right to randomly draw another winner, and the original winner will be considered to have forfeited his or her prize. Prizes are not exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. In the event of unavailability of any stated prize, TFCU reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Winners must show valid identification to collect prizes. Winners of the prizes will be required to sign a Liability/Publicity Release (where legal) to receive their respective prizes. Acceptance of the prize constitutes winner’s permission for Tinker Federal Credit Union to use his or her likeness or name for publicity or promotional uses without compensation or notice. The winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and compliance to these Official Rules, fill out an IRS Form W-9, sign a Consent and Liability Release Form, and agree to pay all applicable federal and state taxes, fees, and costs to receive his or her prize. The winner who accepts an prize grants TFCU the right to use the official winner’s name, address, photograph, and likenesses for advertising, promotional, and publicity purposes without compensation or notice.

Any personally identifiable information received, provided, or collected for purposes of the Sweepstakes will be protected in accordance with TFCU’s privacy policy located at https://www.tinkerfcu.org/online-privacy-policy/. TFCU reserves the right to cancel, suspend, terminate, and/or modify the Sweepstakes and these Official Rules, in whole or in part, if any fraud, technical failures, viruses, tampering, defects, illegality, or any other factor beyond TFCU’s control occurs or impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes. Applicable U.S. federal and Oklahoma state laws apply to this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules. Prize amounts may be reported as taxable income to the winners. All federal, state and local taxes imposed by acceptance of the prize are solely the responsibility of the official winner and the official winner is responsible for the reporting and payment of any such prize amount.
